Kick off is at 5.30 p.m., but it is usually handy to arrive a little earlier if you are a joining member so we can sort out registration details.
If you'd like to come along, you can be proposed and initiated on the same night and we'd love to see you.
The ritual/initiation part takes up the first part of the evening , and the "formal bit" is usually over by around 7.30. We break for supper - fish and chips from the local chippie - and then get into the festivities - jokes, sing-songs and so on; it's much closer to a Scottish Harmony than an English Festive Board. Lots of beer is consumed, both during the formal part and during the harmony. We normally wrap up around 9.30 or so, and clear the hall; a fair few then retire to the bar... A taxi - or willing other half - is strongly recommended.
